Which Hardy Boys Books Did Andrew Svenson Write?

Hardy Boys Books by Andrew Svenson aka “Jerry West” aka “Franklin W. Dixon”

As a dedicated fan of The Happy Hollisters, you probably already know that “Jerry West” was a pseudonym for author Andrew Svenson. But did you know that he was also known as “Franklin W. Dixon,” author of the teenage boy sleuths’ series, The Hardy Boys?

From 1948 to 1975, Andrew Svenson was instrumental in developing the entire classic Hardy Boys canon (volumes 1-58). As a partner in the Stratemeyer Syndicate and head of their Boys’ Series Division, he oversaw the plotting, outlining, writing, editing of the original texts as well as the revision process which began in 1959. The classic Hardy Boys books enjoyed by young readers to this day might have faded into history without his expert guidance.

All 58 volumes of The Hardy Boys are available individually, in discounted bundles, or through The Classic Hardy Boys Book Club.
